On a small day, yes: sand, plenty of room, and a surf school in season. With real swell the currents are strong and Kontiki or Sironit in Netanya are the better choice.
When does Mikhmoret work?
A moderate western or north-western swell with an east wind, October to April. The beach faces west and takes every swell raw, which makes it one of the most consistent in the area; in a big swell it closes out.
What is the difference between Mikhmoret and Beit Yanai?
Both are open, consistent beaches. Beit Yanai, by the Alexander stream mouth, builds better sandbanks; Mikhmoret is quieter.
