Is Gordon Beach good for beginners?
Yes, it is the classic place to learn in Tel Aviv: soft sand, a gentle wave softened by the groynes, and surf schools renting soft boards on the beach. On a storm day it is too big for beginners as well - wait for the swell to drop.
When does Gordon work?
A small to moderate swell with an east wind, October to April. In a real swell it closes out fast and the crowd moves a few hundred metres north to Hilton, which holds size by the marina breakwater.
