Common questions

Is Tel Baruch bigger than Hilton?

Usually a little, on the same swell: it sits north of the Yarkon with no breakwater to soften it, so it takes the swell raw. On a big day it closes out while Hilton holds.

Is Tel Baruch good for beginners?

On a small clean day, yes - sand, room, and far less crowd than the city beaches. Once there is real swell the longshore current is strong and it becomes an intermediate wave.

When does Tel Baruch work?

A moderate western swell with an east wind, October to April. A large swell closes it out and Hilton or the Herzliya marina wedge hold better.

Where do you park at Tel Baruch?

The beach car park at the end of Propes Street. In winter there is room even on a good swell morning.
