Hilton breaks by the breakwater over rock and sand and holds size; Topsea, just north, is a beach break over sand - softer, more spread out and less crowded.

On a small day, yes, and the Topsea surf club on the beach rents boards. With real swell it is already an intermediate beach, and beginners go down to Gordon.
