Hilton Beach is a reef break with sand over parts of it - the reef holds most peaks in place, but the sand moves, so some peaks shift through the season.

Common questions
Is Hilton Beach good for beginners?
No. It is Tel Aviv's heaviest and most crowded spot, over a rock and sand bottom beside the marina breakwater. Learn at Gordon or the Dolphinarium a few hundred metres south and come back once you catch green waves on your own.
When is Hilton Beach at its best?
The day after a western storm, when the swell is still running and the wind has turned east (offshore). October to April; the Mediterranean is flat in summer.
How big does Hilton get?
Most surfable winter days are waist to head high. A strong western storm brings well-overhead sets for a day or two, and those are the days the whole city is in the water.
Is there a webcam at Hilton?
WaveHub runs a camera on Hilton B (Topsea), the beach break just north of the main peak. Frontside checks its own forecast against readings from cameras like it.
Where do you park for Hilton Beach?
The marina car park or the streets behind the north promenade; both fill early on a good swell morning. Enter the water from the beach south of the breakwater.
